The historic Quinta do Salgueiro, originally a private hideaway, is a dream of serene peace. Worked by artisans who almost a century ago magically transformed a rugged and arid hillside of the farm, into a real charm with unforgettable landscapes. The farm preserves the flavor of its agricultural heritage. In 2007 Margarida Junqueiro created this unique environment. From a country house dating from the 1900s, she converted it into a sophisticated tourist house. A few minutes from the River Douro Internacional, you can enjoy wonderful well-marked hiking, bicycle tours, wine tasting and other attractions.

With an area of 8 ha with views that cover undulating foothills, full of vineyards, almonds and olive groves up to the Douro River Valley, you can charge your batteries both in your room and outside or walking around the farm.
